My experience is on air reporting, here on election night 2008

I’m a multimedia reporter, turning multiple stories a day both on-air and online for WTOP FM in Washington, D.C., an all news radio station.

Before transitioning to multimedia journalism, I spent eight years as a TV reporter and anchor. Most recently, I reported on air for CNN Newsource in Washington, D.C. and for the Fox affiliate WDAF in Kansas City, Mo.

I graduated from the University of Missouri in Broadcast Journalism in 2003 and earned my Masters in Interactive Journalism at American University in 2012. I have also worked for KDRV in Medford, Ore., NBC 4 in Washington, D.C., CBS London and in the U.S. House of Representatives
Radio-TV Gallery.

For three years, I co-produced a podcast called It’s All Journalism where we hosted journalists to discuss the changing state of the industry; how social media is enhancing storytelling and how the expectation of multimedia is challenging what we do.

I’m a member of the SAG/AFTRA union and the Online News Association.
